Terms and conditions

These terms apply to the Version Two by Bold Basic brand strategy workshop. They exist so both of us know what’s what, and no one is guessing later.

1. What Version Two Is

Version Two is a 2–3 hour strategic workshop followed by up to two weeks of my time synthesising everything we cover into a brand strategy document (PDF).

It’s not design work, visual identity, logo development, or any form of execution. It’s strategy — the foundation before any of that.

2. What you’re paying for and the scope

Version Two includes:

  • One workshop
  • One strategy PDF
  • One round of factual corrections

It does not include:

  • Additional messaging directions
  • Alternative strategic versions
  • Logo/visual identity
  • Execution of any kind
  • Additional calls
  • Website/brand audits
  • Ongoing consulting

Any extra work is billed separately.

You are not paying for additional calls, design revisions, marketing advice, or ongoing support; unless we explicitly agree to that in writing.

3. Payment terms

  • The full fee (AUD $2,500 plus GST) is required upfront to secure your workshop date.
  • Payment is non-refundable.
  • If you cancel or miss the workshop, no refund is provided.
  • You may reschedule once, provided you give at least 48 hours’ notice.

I reserve the right to fill your spot if payment has not been made.

4. Scheduling

Once your payment has cleared, I will confirm the workshop date and send your pre-workshop kit.

If life happens and you need to shift the date, you can do so once before 48 hours of the date. After that, it’s treated as a cancellation.

5. Your responsibilities

To get the best out of the workshop, you agree to:

  • Show up on time over Zoom with camera and microphone on
  • Come having read the pre-workshop kit
  • Share accurate, honest information about your business
  • Be available during the workshop without distractions

Version Two requires focus. If you’re multitasking, it won’t work.

6. My responsibilities

I will:

  • Prepare thoroughly for the workshop
  • Run the session with clarity, structure, and direction
  • Synthesise all insights and conversations into your brand strategy PDF
  • Deliver the document within 14 days of your workshop
  • Keep all your information confidential

7. Intellectual Property

The Version Two process, tools, frameworks, and workshop structure belong to me.

You own:

  • Your brand strategy PDF
  • The content within it relating to your business
  • The right to use it however you choose

You do not own:

  • My templates, frameworks, methodology, or examples
  • The right to resell or repurpose the process as your own

8. Confidentiality

Anything you share during the workshop is confidential and stays between us. I may ask to use a testimonial or the outcome, only with your written permission.

9. Scope changes

Version Two has a clear, fixed scope.
If during or after the workshop you need:

  • Visual identity
  • Website design
  • Copywriting
  • Additional consulting
  • Additional workshops
    …that work is billed separately.

10. Results

Version Two gives you clarity, direction, and a strategic foundation. It does not guarantee specific business outcomes such as revenue growth, sales performance, or customer behaviour.

Strategy gives direction. You still need to implement.

11. Communication

All communication before, during, and after the workshop is handled via email unless we agree otherwise.
The included follow-up is limited to factual corrections in the PDF, not new strategic rounds or additional thinking.

12. Things outside my control

I’m not responsible for delays caused by:

  • Your availability
  • Missed sessions
  • Late responses
  • Tech issues on your end
  • Third-party work (designers, developers, copywriters) using the strategy incorrectly

I can’t control what others do with the work, only the quality of what I deliver.

13. Termination

Either of us can end the engagement in writing 48 hours before the workshop takes place.

If you terminate after payment, no refund is given.
If I terminate for any reason, you’ll receive a full refund.

After the workshop has been delivered, the project cannot be terminated.

14. Refunds

There are no refunds for Version Two.

This is a strategic engagement based on your input, participation, and honesty. The quality of the outcome depends on the quality of the information you bring.

You may request factual corrections; not a redo, rewrite, or refund.

Subjective dissatisfaction (“I don’t like the wording”, “I changed my mind”, “I expected something else”) is not grounds for a refund.

15. If you disappear (aka ghosting)

If you don’t attend the workshop or fail to reply within 7 days after I request information, the project will be marked as complete.

No refunds.
No restarts.
No carrying the fee into future work.

16. Client delays

If delays on your side push the timeline, your delivery date moves too.

17. Professional judgement

You’re hiring me for my strategic expertise.
While your input is valuable, I reserve the right to use professional judgement when shaping recommendations.

I won’t include ideas that are confusing, misleading, or harmful to your positioning — even if you request them.

18. Project completion

The project is considered complete when:

  • The workshop is delivered
  • The PDF is delivered
  • The one round of factual corrections is complete, or the 7-day correction window has passed.

After that, Version Two is officially done.

19. Disputes

If something doesn’t feel right, you agree to contact me first so we can resolve it like adults.

If we can’t resolve it together, we’ll move to arbitration — a neutral third party who helps settle the matter without dragging anyone through court.

Any dispute, claim, or disagreement related to Version Two will be handled under Victorian law, in Victoria, Australia.

20. Acceptance of terms

Booking and paying for the workshop means you’ve read, understood, and agreed to these terms. No surprises, no fine print.
